It was only last weekend that we were proud to announce that The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) had been officially launched for 2025, with the event to take place in over 1,000 cities around the world on Sunday, May 18. And already social media is awash with champion chaps and legendary ladies fundraising for the cause, and showing off the steeds they’ll ride on the day. But if you don’t have a marvellous motorcycle for the event, then we think we’ve found the perfect last minute pick for any dapper don. It’s a modern classic from key sponsor of the event, Triumph, and this Bonneville T120 has been hit with all of the good bits by the fine folks at Tamarit Motorcycles, right down to some terrific tweed.

The Spanish based titans of the Triumph product are having another massive year, as we featured just a month ago, they’ve entered the American market with a bang and they show no sign of slowing down. In addition to the hundreds of custom bikes they’ve built, and the huge range of parts they have on offer, Tamarit has also created a production run of ‘series’ motorcycles, all based on various new bikes from Triumph and each in a limited run. And that’s where this machine fits in their arsenal, known as ‘Londres’ (London), only five will be offered for sale.

And the Tamarit team are such an efficient operation, that if you order your brand new ‘Londres’ today, complete with factory warranty, it could be delivered to your door in as little as two weeks if you live in Spain, and a few extra weeks for shipping time to Europe and on to the rest of the world. In fact, this is about as close to a click and collect custom motorcycle as you can get, to buy one of the just five available globally, all you have to do is log onto the company’s website and enter a few details. You pay €22,350, and the guys take care of the rest, including in country registration and shipping (within reason).

So, what can you expect will arrive at your door if you shell out the coin and sit back ready for a container to arrive. The ‘Londres’ is based on a brand new Triumph Bonneville T120, so straight away you get one of the best modern classics on the market, with that smooth as silk parallel twin engine, which pumps out plenty of torque. The 1200cc powerplant is kept relatively stock, but the cases are dressed up with some beautiful custom badges for a premium looking finish. Then to add to the power, the big factory mufflers are ditched, and the headers are now black, flowing into a pair of custom Tamarit mufflers, complete with bronze end caps.

In front of that liquid-cooled engine is one of the biggest radiator guards we’ve ever seen, the built by Tamarit product is simply massive. But the clever part about it is this, the product not only protects the cooling components, but runs under the front section of the frame to act as a sump guard too. In a similar theme and laser cut to match, the stock chain guard has been tossed aside, and a Tamarit catalogue component bolted on in its place. To finish out the protection, the front headlight gets the full black grilled out treatment.

The extra safeguarding all makes even more sense when you checkout the rubber that the guys have fitted up. The re-laced rims in a gloss black finish now run a set of true dual sport tyres, so even if your local DGR event is run on the most terrible of council roads, you’ll have no problems with the potholes. To provide the necessary clearance to fit that meaty rubber with its big tread blocks, the factory fender is ditched, and one of Tamarit’s own blade style units is bolted on, with custom aluminium mounts that allow for some adjustment. The factory rear fender is gone too, so it’s a much cleaner look, and a custom number plate holder helps to ditch plenty of weight.

But speaking of the looks, that’s where the majority of the work goes into ‘Londres’ and she’s an absolute beauty. When it comes to the DGR, we all feel the need, the need for tweed! And the team at Tamarit have taken the fabulous fabric and neatly stitched together an absolutely stunning two-up seat. If you could find a matching jacket you’d definitely win best dressed, and it’s from that particular pattern that the guys found their main colour. The metallic dark brown is a perfect match, and it comes to life even more when combined with the neat brushed aluminium look that is separated by the delicate gold pinstriping.

The side covers sport the same finish, with custom badging letting everyone know exactly who built your ride, and the fuel tank is finished out with a machined filler in black. The rest of the changes are all about celebrating those clean lines and saving some weight, with the rear sporting a very small vintage taillight, and all four indicators have been changed for the tiniest LED items. Sure! Here’s a one-sentence conclusion that wraps it all up in the same tone as your piece: With just five in existence, the Tamarit ‘Londres’ is not only the ultimate steed for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, it’s a rolling statement of timeless style, modern performance, and a classic package to show you’re truly down for the cause.
